The City of Bloomington recognized Woodie Bessler for his volunteer work with SIREN and the Monroe County Energy Challenge. Woodie authored the first Going Solar program, which has since been given more than 50 times to approximately 1,000 people. In support of the Energy Challenge, he performed free energy assessments for Bloomington residents and helped make an empty house livable for AmeriCorps members. More info here
